Yes...you heard it right...I am FINALLY blogging about our trip to Disney World...LOL. We had 2 weekends of being really busy and we are just now starting to be able to relax and get back to normal. Which is nice! We left on Sunday morning at 7:30 and we got to Orlando at about 9:30. As expected it was hot and humid...a little worse than it is here in Boston. Once we got off the plane we just went straight down to the Disney Express counter. They get our bags from the baggage area and take it to our room so we didn't even have to worry about our luggage. While sitting on the bus waiting to leave for the hotel I took a picture of one of the Disney Express buses:
Once we got to the hotel we checked in. It was a really nice hotel...the only downfall to it was it was the last stop for the transportation buses so they were sometimes pretty full by the time they got to us. Here is Kevin in the lobby and a picture of the front of the hotel:) All the buildings for the hotel had different movie themes...Fantasia, 101 Dalmatians, Mighty Ducks, Toy Story...we stayed in the Love Bug one...I also attached a picture of that...and Kevin standing in the Winners Circle!

After we got checked in we decided that we needed to eat lunch. We didn't have anything except a snack on the plane so we were starving. We got on a bus and headed for Downtown Disney. The weird thing about Disney World's Downtown Disney is it is so big they had to break it down to 3 different names. There is the "Marketplace", "Pleasure Island" and "West Side". We went to the Marketplace and had lunch at Trex. It is owned by Rainforest Cafe and is exactly the same except instead of jungle animals it is all about Dinosaurs...
After lunch we did a little shopping and decided to head back to the hotel and rest up. Laurie, Dan and Bradley were due to arrive at about 6:00 and we were going to meet for dinner and head to Magic Kingdom for the evening. On the way back we had a Thunder/Lightning storm and since we had to walk a ways to get to our room (there are 10 separate buildings at this hotel so you walk outside to get to them) we had stopped at the gift shop and got some ponchos to wear so we didn't get drenched! When Laurie, Dan and Brad got to the hotel and checked in we headed down to the food court in the lobby. It is like a cafeteria...you pick out what you want...pay for it and then find a table...
After eating we got on the bus and headed for the Magic Kingdom. It was so beautiful at night. The castle would change colors from pink to blue.
We got there in just enough time to watch the Electrical Parade. I didn't take many pictures of it because I have tons from other trips to Disneyland...but here is one I took and we texted it to Mom and Dad...
We did some shopping and a few rides and then we watched the fireworks...I attempted to take some pictures and some of them turned out ok...
It was pretty warm still so we decided to get some ice cream...and do a little shopping in the stores. Brad was having fun trying on some of the silly hats:
